New decorative wall tile stockists for Jaafar Designs
The latest place to see our unique hand painted tiles is at Worcester Tile Centre (see website for details.) They are displaying our unusual picture tiles in their wonderful tile showroom so do go along so you can see & touch our handmade tiles with Persian glazes.

Our website shows a selection of different picture tile murals, tile panels & tile friezes. In the Sea tile range there are a variety of 2 tile Tropical fish friezes, 4 tile hand painted Marine Life panels & a larger 6 tile brightly coloured Seahorse tile panel.

Unusual ceramic wall tiles
In the next few weeks, we will be changing the base tile we use to hand-paint our brightly coloured Persian glazes on to. We will soon start using a Johnsons unglazed tile to hand decorate our tropical fish murals & decorative picture tiles on.
Bathroom & kitchen hand-painted tiles
Try using a Johnsons ''Alpine White'' 20x20 as a white tile to complement our contempory, unique tiles. Also, smaller creams/white tiles eg 10x10cms or 10x20cms look fantastic in a kitchen. For a dramatic look in a bathroom, try using a larger format white tile eg 25 x 40cms with our hand made picture tiles.

Hand decorated ceramic wall tiles
Recently, we have been asked to create some unique tiles to customer's specific requirements. As we hand-paint all our tiles, we can offer a bespoke service & design some really unusual ceramic tiles.

One request we were delighted to fufill was to create some different Tropical Fish sea tile borders, so alongside our brightly coloured Clown fish, Angel fish & Parrot fish decorative wall borders, we designed some seahorses, shells & crabs to run alongside, for the customer's children's bathroom.

Brightly coloured hand -painted, unique glazes
Our Ancient Persian type glazes produce wonderful deep, glossy colours on our ceramic wall tiles. The turquoise & ultramarine colours provide decorative accents to acid greens & bright oranges.

Latest decorative ceramic wall tile panel commission
We have just finished a one-off special,designer wall tile panel for a customer who brought back a tile from Spain. She asked us to enlarge the design to fit over 9 tiles for her patio wall. She is delighted with the result and loves her bespoke, handpainted wall tiles.

Unusual decorative ceramic tiles
We have handpainted some really unusual wall tile designs recently- a customer loved our Pheasent ceramic wall tile panel in his kitchen and then wanted us to design some Duck tiles to form a wall tile border. They were so thrilled with these designer wall tiles, they then asked for just one Fox tile to set amongst the ducks.

Recently, we have also been asked to create a ceramic wall tile panel of a child's favourite bedtime book - The Hungry Caterpillar.The panel is now in his bathroom creating a very contempory, decorative focal point and he now loves having a bath !

Ideas for using designer ceramic wall tiles in bathrooms & kitchens
Following on from our last entry, we contine to look how our decorative wall tiles can be used to the greatest impact for the least amount of money.
1 idea is to use plain tiles of the same background colour amongst the decorative tiles. For example, if putting a contempory tile border around your bathroom, use 2 plain turquoise 5x20cms tiles for every 1 Florida Square tile.
Kitchen wall tile panels
Our Milano Dot tile range provides a really inexpensive way to provide a decorative focus for behind a range cooker in a kitchen.
Just using 4 or 6 of these contempory dot tiles in a wall tile panel format with a less expensive white tile will give a designer feel.

This month, we thought we'd explain a little of our glazing process.The glazes for our ceramic wall tiles have been developed by us over 13 years. Each glaze uses natural minerals to create the stunning bright colours& unique decorative effects. The glazes are mixed by hand & then painted directly onto the tile surface to create our amazing designs.
